Up for bid is a vintage visitors' gallery pass to the United States Senate that is signed by former Indiana Sen. Birch Bayh. It was issued on Nov. 14, 1969, to a Steve Williams. It was for the first session of the 91st Congress and is signed by Bayh in black felt pen. Bayh served as an Indiana Senator from 1963 to 1981. He was a candidate for the Democratic nomination for President in the 1976 election, but lost to Jimmy Carter. Bayh passed away in March 2019 at age 91. The light-cardboard pass measures 4 1/8 by 2 3/4 inches and is in very good condition.
