helps to avoid urine leaks due to such conditions. It is a more subtle alternative to using
protective underwear
to address incontinence.
The Clamp consists of two soft foam rubber pads held on two sides in the shape of a “V” by a durable stainless steel frame. The open end of the structure has a ratchet catch and two spring loops to lock the frame. To control
incontinence,
place the middle of the penis between the two foam pads. Squeeze the pads together and lock the clamps using the spring loops. The ratchet catch offers five different lock settings to allow the user to lock the clamp in a comfortable yet effective tightness. The lower part of the steel frame has an inverted “V” shape in the middle that exerts just the right amount of pressure on the urethral canal to control urine leak. The upper part is flexible and can be adjusted for added comfort. The Penile Cunningham Clamp is comfortable enough to be worn throughout the day if required. It can be released during normal urination by simply pressing the spring loops inwards and clamping it on later.
It is important to note that the Bard Clamp should not be locked on too tight on the penis. This may restrict blood flow and cause irritation in the skin and the glans. It is also advisable to change the position of the clamp during the day and not keep it in the same position on the shaft.
