Overview
An open-box, new-old-stock/unused, fully working SyncServer S250 NTP server that obtains highly accurate and traceable time from the GPS satellite constellation. This model has the TCXO oscillator for free-running time keeping. Also the original OEM Furuno GPS receiver card has been replaced by an updated iLotus equivalent which will ensure accurate timekeeping for years into the future. The unit is in MINT cosmetic condition. A new accessory pack is included which contains a matched outdoor antenna and cable (0+ value), rack ears and cables etc. For best results the antenna needs to be mounted outside with a
complete
view of the sky. The unit has been tested - screnshots of the positive test results are provided below.

The unit ships set to the factory defaults (logon with admin:symmetricom) ready for your install. The installed firmware is the latest available at the time of listing (v1.36) which takes into account the most recent GPS epoch roll-over and leap second adjustments. The Stratum 1 S250 will automatically synchronize to GPS, IRIG B AM, 1PPS, and 10 MHz in that priority. It smoothly transitions from one reference to the next available if the higher priority signal is lost or regained. This is perfect for operating with different backup time or frequency sources. The S250 can also revert to a Stratum 2 mode and retrieve time from other user-designated time servers.

Assured Perfect Timing
The Stratum 1 level S250 derives extremely accurate time directly from the atomic clocks aboard the GPS satellite system. Reliability is further enhanced via Stratum 2 operation by retrieving time from other user-designated time servers. All SyncServers can be upgraded to an internal Rubidium atomic oscillator to keep the time server accurate if the GPS signal is lost.
