    Political match book, WI Joe McCarthy 1950's red scare, Union label, mfg Chicago.
    This authentic vintage political match book has a whole lot of presence.  It declares support for the controversial senator who went after communists in the 1940's and 50's.  It is in excellent vintage condition,  having a small spot to the left of "Joe" on the back cover and no other flaws that I can find.  None of the matches have been used.  On the inside cover one is invited to "Strike a light for freedom".  This little artifact brings the history home.
    Marked "Superior Match Co.  Chicago U.S.A." and also with a surprising union label as the senator probably didnt care much for unions!
